What is a Booster car?

On Bitmod1.com website, they sell a 2 speed booster car. What are they exactly? How do they work? Does their performance vary from a single speed Bit? The Booster cars are at the top of this page

The Booster Cars are a theoretical 2-speed. The "low" makes the motor run a little less than full power while the "high" makes the motor run at full power. The boost button is on the 4-frequency controller....sold seperately

the boost on the cars is kinda false advertising, the car is super slow prior to boost, then when u press boost button it just eliminate resistance and runs about the same speed as an unboosted car, maybe a little faster

my stock bits./microsizers racing against my fairlady while boosting was only a very little faster, nothing to brag about. the boost shoud be as follows, the car is as fast as a regular car unboosted, then go twice as fast when you boost
