Confused please help explain
I have recently been fortune it enough to purchase one of these Dnano vehicles but have some questions. (I received it with a broken rear suspension plate so I have yet to try this sucker out)
I purchased the WRX STI chassis set 32301MB. Now, I see it comes with an Autoscale body complete with dummy chassis (O joy) as well as a "moving" chassis.
Now my confusion is, do I ALSO need to purchase one of these "Fitting parts set"? For an additional 40 bucks??? The box for the body DNX301MB does say that the "fitting parts set" DNP301 IS required to work with the "moving" chassis?? Or does my "moving" chassis already have these parts "fitted" because it came as part of 32301MB?
Can anyone shed some light on this one for me?

Changing the autoscale requires the fitting parts . It's not cheap with dnano to change bodies. Qon is our resident dnano expert and best person to ask for just about anything.

32301MB Already has all fitting parts installed. All you need is the controller, battery, and charger, which you can get as in the Dnano starter pack.

Sorry, in re-reading your post it's clear you bought the chassis set vs a roller and an autoscale. The chassis set with body comes with all that is needed minus any broken parts you need to replace.
Changing autoscales is more tedious than mini-z for example as you need a few other parts specific to a body. It's not a cheap thing to change bodies.

This is the most annoying part about dnanos .... Instead of paying $70.00 or more for a new body for my first dnano, I bought two more chassis sets for $100 each on ebay. I know it is a "premium" item but the prices are sometimes ridiculous...

sorry about my late reply on this... you really only need a body mount to change from one dnano to the other. if you want to get the EXACT scale and specs of the car you're choosing, you'll need to pick up the following (assuming they differ from 1 to the other)
1 - body mount
2 - front suspension plates
3 - rear wheel hubs
4 - front spacer plates
5 - wheels
the fact is, most people who are familiar with the car and race with it will change things to make it handle better. the most successful racing i've done has been with 18s all around and that's across all cars i've run. the change from one to another will only get expensive if you choose to pick up the optional parts as opposed to the plastic replacement parts.
