Exclamation OOPS!!! I killed a battery

It was one of the 200mah batts, now it's just a little tiny paperweight.

Tried doing the charge thing watching for peak using a multimeter, but it ddn't quite have a happy ending.

Watched for thevoltage drop, and as soon as I saw it, I pulled the car off the charger.

It felt a little warm, but not hot. I tried the controller, and there was nothing, not even a little noise. I thought I killed the car at first, but it works fine with a different battery.

When I took out the one I killed, the shrink wrap had come off of it. I look for signs of life with the meter, and it would only read .01 volts.

Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck next time. When using batteries hooked direct to a charging base, what's the recommended # of batteries to use, and what size? Maybe I'll try a different method.

I would actually suggest trying the AC charger found here.

You could still use your voltmeter to average out a consistent charge time, then just simply hit the button that amount of times to charge.
