Ok i havent read/seen much about these iRacers...are they worth about $35? I'm thinking of picking one up to play with. They seem to be very similar to the Digi-Q's right...

I got the Nikko I-Racer while out at Toys 'R' Us then I took it right back. I didn't care for the bulky control for such a little car. This car works or infared and has proportional stearing. The Nikko I-Racer has two motors one for each back wheel. It drives like a tank does and haveing one wheel go one way and the other go in another to make the car turn. It is fast I would say as the 3.8 motor and has a low and high speed setting on controller. This is the kicker the charge time on it is 3 min for 10 min play. It uses a NiMH battery too.

Look here for picture of control and a car. The ones they had at Toys 'R' Us were a silver Mercedes and a red Cooper Mini.

BTW....Toys 'R' Us only had the microsizers cars and didn't have any extra bodies, tires, or motors: in other words their in it for the cars.

Well like I say I didn't like the nikko because the control was huge....and as far as zipzaps I don't like that radioshack has thier hand in that... I think radio shack would probably crap out on supplying accessories after the holidays. They always have the newest fad toys. I just dont' trust the shack to stick with it. I like char-g and microsizers cause I think they'll stay around and their controller is nice and they are fairly easy to drive.

The iRacer is not bad. Esp when you can store the car in the controller. ToysrUs have been selling them for quite a while.
Was my first micro RC car. Did figure out that a slick surface is not that good for this car. If you use the same type foam as in a airconditioner filter or for a muffin fan makes a great road surface! Think its about 2 x 3 feet for about a dollar. Makes the car handle much better. Also if you want a bridge make sure its reflective inside.
Like a DigiQ take some effory to get speed to turning down but not that bad.
