well we'll see what happens with the regulator, theres a couple hard core modders who use em w/o probs so we;ll see wont we, and i dunno what fets ur using but mine are god to 55V i dunno why ur on my case with the fets... mine work, urs wrk so why not leave it at that?? just IMO for beginers its much easier to reduce the chances of a short by separtating the fets.
and btw the 2nd pic is funny cause the lil holder loks like its angry and is gunna toss ur xmod (im tired bare with me) that things cool tho whered u get it?? here at custom engineering all i can do is balace my xmod on a spool of wire (primitive but wrx)
also what motor is that?? im looking for something that can handle 14.4V abuse and rev like 100,000-150,000 rpm at 14.4V, all part of the goal to break 99KMH on the speed checker

Dont get me wrong Im not trying to get on your case I just wanted to point out that the diagram was right .
The motor is a elite modified it has the xmod going 40mph+ only at 7.2v with plenty of acceleration so you can see the power on the ground also.

I believe its a 280 its a micro RS4 motor and provides more torque and speed than any other motor in its class anything smaller cant come close to it thats why I quit the high voltage modification. 7.2v and a large pinion is all I need with this motor.
The motor doesnt have an amature so there is no winding its a coreless motor pretty much made like a brushless motor. virtually no friction unlike a regular motor and with this motor installed you can push your xmod with your hands and it will go at least 20ft before it stops and it will roll away from you on an uneven table.
Yes.

You wanted to do 99km?
I've done it already with 2 lithiums! I just don't want to spend 50 bucks for a v2 when I could do it for half the price.
Here's a video of my car:

I know what you mean. I have fried so many! I have to find out why one side burns up and the other doesn't.

Are you using a regulator?

I love that bogus video it really, dont mean nothing without a 360 view on a flat surface. God knows whats powering that thing .

Was I using a reg? No.
Bogus video? No. I didn't think I needed a 360 view because there is a mirror on one side(take a closer look and you can see me, my brother & no wires). I use 2 ploy's instead of ions because they have a higher discharge rate.
Do you have a video of that 280? I would like to see how it moves. I was thinking about doing that myself.

Maybe you ran the wires underneath and through the speed checker to the xmod, theres no way that I can believe that any battery power is running a 130 like that.
the 280 its real fast 40+ on the ground, digital camera video will make it looks like its going 80mph.

It's ok Jon-Jon alot of people said the same thing until I showed them. You can visit xmodsforums.com and ask people that seen it in person. You say 40+ on the ground? You got a vid of that? I want to make one but I don't know how the performance would be. What is the rest of the setup?

yikes that coreless motor is 50 bux! ill just make something custom.. only way to fly
i beleive moebrown got 99khm with his speed checker, prolly just a low turn, apm hauling beast.. thatll hit 99kmh (only on a speed checker)
also with all u guys who are frying fets.. i dunno what to tell you, if you did it my way then check over connectsions and such, but if you did it jon jons way (after me telling you not to) then i dunno...
anyone know a good source of 260 and 260 high performance motor parts??
hey ninja u get my email??

i did it your way, checked ALL connections and i still fried 'em...can anyone tell me if it was because the fets i soldered last were the ones ph2t used:
NTD110N02R - N Chan MOSFET - www.onsemi.com
IRF7425 - P Chan MOSFET - www.irf.com
can anyone tell me if they can handle li-ions or not?
