need help...NOW
i haven't run my skyline in a few weeks, but i had to use some regular alkalines, so i bought some energizer titaniums the other night, usually i'm using the rechargeable energizers i bought, but they are dead and i don't have a charger at home right now...
my question is this....WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY CAR?!?!?! does running alkaline batteries make THAT HUGE of a difference when it comes to the cars acceleration and speed, cuz it's slow, it won't go fast...EVER...and i have a stage 2 that was flying before this all happened? do i have a bad skyline>?? why would it have gone through a few charges of batteries and then broke if it's not the batteries causing this....PLEASE HELP ME!

Happened to me to. Tried different motors, disassembled and reassembled the car after repacking the differential with grease and checking the drive-train for any locked or seized bearings or bad fittings. Car ran ok after that.

but i took the car apart and made sure the axles and bearings weren't bound up by anything, all i can say, is the batteries are the problem right? but i don't understand how that can make such a drastic change in performance....is the motor possibly bad? there was nothing wrong with it, can it go bad just sitting there?

I think some of my stage 2 motors aren't cutting it, and don't forget that alkalines QUICKLY lose their peak output despite their long life. After 10 minutes of use your car might be slowing down. Try new batteries?

alkalines don't give out as much current as nimh or nicd batteries. basically, your motor was starved for energy

i had to use alkalines for 3 weeks after i got mine and i though it was pretty fast but then i finally convinced my dad to get the radioshack rechargeables the thing went at least 2X faster. so yes alkalines do make that big of a difference
