I have 2 sets of them and they seem to work well. However I would recommend Rayovac IC3's instead. I would have them myself but RS wants a fortune for them, and all the Wal-Mart's in my area are sold out.

The Charger is listed here
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...402#long_descr
It says it charges 4 batteries simultaneously $27.83
I have only found a 2 Battery Charger in a WM store.
I saw the AAA batteries without a charger at my local WM for $12.74 per 4 pack.
I saw another post not too long ago that said RS was selling IC3 Batteries without a charger for $24.99 per 4 pack. I have not personally verified this.

Four packs of AAA or AA are 12.73. I just bought some more yesterday. IC-3 is the way to go. I put some on a voltmeter and got a reading of 1.47 volts! AAA rechargeables are usually around 1.2.

I dont get it why are IC3's so good? They are also rated at 1.2 volts. Plus if you wamt them to charge in 15 minutes you gotta get the charger.

My walmart lied to me... I called up a while back and asked them if they had the I-C3 4-batt charger and she said nope.. just the 2 charger, we've never carried the 4-bat charger
Well.. I went ahead and ordered the charger from circuitcity.com for $40 and some bats for $12 or something... 2 days later when I'm walking through walmart, I saw the 4batt charger for $27... My walmart is ran by retards :\ I could've saved like $20 off of that order. (From the shipping and circuit city's $40 price.)
Oh well... these batts are worth it

IC3 can be charged on a NiCad/NiMH charger it just takes longer to charge. Specs are also listed on the back of the battery package.

Not sure what problem you are having with the XMods charger. I personaly have the charger and the batteries and they work great. No problems from them at all. OTH everything made by man is not going to last forever. There will be defects in products, all products so the proper thing that should have taken place was a return/exchange.

I think the RS X-Mods batt's and charger are "REAL" good for the price that they are. Im getting around 150 ft range and the last time I ran my car it was for an hour and they still had juice in em. I don't really know why people are having some of the problems with there cars and batt's. I haven't had a single problem with mine or my sons. Maybe it's because we only run on very smooth asphalt ? Have fun everybody !!!...KnotHole...

150ft of range? Are you kidding me? My mini z only gets like 60-100ft and my cousins xmods get like 25... I think you were talking about inches there...
