What's the best heatsink?

I have a couple heatsinks from the Bit Racers. What is the best one for reducing the heat; silver, brown coated, or curved?

The point of the heatsink is to distribute the heat over a greater surface area making it easier for it to cool down...if you don't notice it's wram at all it means it's doing it's job!

there are a total of four genuine Tomy heatsinks:

1. Stock Silver
2. Black Anodized
3. Aero (curved) Temp. Sensor Strip
4. Ultra lite Aluminum

Of the four only the aluminum would make a difference, though ever so slight. The stock silver and black anodized are essentially the same heavy steel metal. The aero has a cool heat temp sensor strip that changes color according to the heat, but it isn't very visible when looking down through the body, and I have never gotten mine to heat up under normal use. The aero design can only be taken advantage of in the BitRacer as some body designs have the heatsink exposed. Because they are hidden in the BitChar-G they are useless. The aluminum is noticeably lighter compared to the stock heatsink, just holding it in your hands. Plus a careful glance at its design shows that it was cut slightlydifferently from the stock heatsink, in that the dissipation vanes are much shorter, thus the amount of metal used is less, and much lighter. But the aluminum itself is considerably lighter to begin with. The temp strip heatsink are as hard to find as the Genuine Tomy Misato slanted tri-spoke rims. For more mod info visit our site at

Got any of those slanted heatsinks? That'll help me a lot (in terms of keeping the engine in) How much can you give me one for?

I have all of those except the aluminum. I didn't know that the curved changed colors. I have to try that sometime. Is it possible to ruin that strip somehow? Got it from a K.I.T. Racer.

Sorry, the heat sensor sticker only comes with Genuine Tomy Bit Racers, not the US version KITT Racers. Though the heatsink design is the same, the sticker isnt there. If you can find a place that sells Bit Racer cars, look for the Tomy Misato M-06, one of the only Tomy models that has the temp sticker ( I think) as well the chrome Misato slanted tri-spoke rims. If you find it and buy it for the heatsink, I can offer you $10 bucks for the rims, or can negotiate a trade. Let me know.

Sincerely,
QFM Racing

Perfection heatsink

I noticed that the perfection heatsink is identical to the Tomy alum one, but is it just the same design or is it also aluminum? Or is it steel like the stock tomys?
