True there are different rules but.......the delay has little or nothing to do with those.
It has to do with the fact that there are like 260 million people in the USA and only about 30 million in Canada.
Therefore to launch a product in the USA or Japan is far more financially viable then it is here. Even is sales are poor in the States or Japan, chances are they will still have genereated enough sales to offset the costs incurred and call it even. Chances of that here is Canada are slim and none due to market share that this product in question is pointed at. They would have fielded a product, operated at a possible loss and folded with nothing to show for their trouble.
And that my friends is why there was a delay in the release here in Canada. Testing and what not took up very little extra time.
