Just got my MS Pro!

I just got a MS Pro today. Here are some results with the 3 motors i have, a 3.8 prefection, a phast motor, and a 2.2 that came with the kit.

Unboosted Speed
1.)Perfection
2.)2.2
3.)Phast motor

I think the phast motor didn't do well because it needs more juice than non boosted mode.

Boost On:
1.)Phast motor (almost 2x faster than perfection)
2.)Perfection
3.)2.2

Torque test. This test is boosted only, it makes the car try to climb a 45degree ramp. The cars started 2 feet from the ramp with boost on.

1.)Phast motor
2.)Perfection
3.)2.2 (almost as far as perfection)

All tests conducted with the 12:1 gearset on, soft in back hard in front tires.

All in all the phast motor is great for flat surfaces, and racing. But for rug running the perfection owns the phast majorly. The phast has trouble on my carpet (burbur carpet) with no boost as the perfection flys over it. For more technical tracks i would use the 2.2.

hmmm torque isnt about giving it a 2 feet start you should have started right infront of the ramp

Its worth it for the boosted they run like **** unboosted like my phast motor runs like a 1.6 but my 2.2 runs like a 3.0 or so in boosted mode. I belive the phast motor runs like crap cause it takes so much voltage to run it right.

to tell the absolute truth, boosters are slow in uinboosted, unless we're talking multiple cells, or anything higher than a 3.2....

all boosters are also noisy in unboosted mode... my LXX is noisy, and so is my TOMY AM set... it actually depends on the motor as well...

boosters IMHO are great for track racing, and if you dont wanan mess up your favorite body while running it.... only a dual cell will make it run extremely fast, while a normal 1 speed bit can run fast, 100% of the time, with the right motor and gearing. (of course it's faster 2 cells, but some of us are just too scared ^__^)

in unboosted mode it pules power so it seems to go slow but this causes very annoying motor vibration
