My dad has one, but it's screwd up badly, and it doesn't work. I put a battery in it one day, turned it on, and the light turned on, but the car didn't move. I think that the motor is dead. I think I will keep it form my cars though
P.S. I HOPE we are talking about the same thing......

The motor in mine doesn't have any cover on it, it just has some magnets and sides on it.... It's a wierd lookin motor. I will have to take my dad's car apart again someday, and experiment....

I tried to stick em on axles, but they don't fit to well.... I would be able to get them to stick in good, but I might have to extend the axle about another inch or so.

They're 4 bucks at my Toys 'R' Us.
I had tons of these when I was a kid, but I destroyed them all. I had a box full of parts, that I could've built several stompers from, but all my gears were strippped from runing 9-volts. I used to put big monster tires on them. Jack up the body, and shove a 9-volt sideways in the battery slot. They were crazy fast, and would hydroplane over the top of tall grass, but it would literally melt the gears if I ran it too long, which I did often. That box might still be in my old closet at my mom's house, but I kinda doubt it.
I also used to split the chassis in half, and glue together 2 motor halfs. Hook wires up up a lantern battery, and have truck pulls with my friends. We had seen in the magazine 4-wheel and Off road that the adults were doing that at the bar, so we copied. I also built a dula motor monster, but that was over kill.
One of my dreams as a kid was to RC a Stomper, and lately I've been trying to figure out how to do it. Should be too hard with all the tiny RCs available now.
I have a Jeep pickup (forgot what they were called, Wagoneer?) that I found at Walgreens. I saw a Nomad at Toys 'R' Us. I should have grabbed it.
Nice collection Cabo Wabo. I had most of those, and some different ones. Seeing yours makes me wish mine weren't dead. That grey Siverado was one of my favorites. I had put smoke stacks off a semi on mine, and stained some small pieces of popsicle sticks to make some wood bed rails, ala 'Lil Red Wagon style.
