Probably the cheapest way is to go pick up some KIT racing cars that have the same ratios as the S-01 set. The gears in the set are 3.43:1, 3.95:1, and 4:57:1 if I'm not mistaken. All of them are higher ratios than the "stock" 9.86:1 in the bits. You'll get higher speeds with the tradeoff of slower acceleration. I found the set HERE . You may be able to find them cheaper though. I could find any on Toy East.

Well those are Bit racer gear sets. They'll have to be modded to fit. I've also heard from other places that some motors have a hard time turning the gears because of the gearing and really lags in take offs. I'm with lowtrac, get the ZZ gear set.

If you have a dual cell 2.4v modded Bit, then torque wont be a problem. My 2.4v bit is running the blue bitracer gears with an 8T pinion and its takeoff is fine. Not as quick off the line as a 6T with the stock gearing but decent. Top end kicks.

Now add the boost effect on new cars into this equation , which I will experiemnt with when I get these gears, and what happens, can a dually with a r-spec or equal type motor pull a decent start, Im not talking just not having to push it, I mean does it get up and go in a good enough way to hav e use of these gear ratios for speed. I am asking all of you as well as myself and hope to find out someday) So far a 3.8 motor in a boost with light green gears gets up and goes fine on regular power. Boost its as good as your motor. This is with just a single nimh battery atm.
