Atomic Z-Planes

Would have posted this to the z-cars forum, but it looks dead.

If you head over to the Atomic Toys web site and click on products, you will find a link to their new Z-Planes. If you don't want to use the horrible console, here is a direct link: http://www.atomictoys.com/zplanes.html

Looks cool, will you stock them Tiny?

That looks very cool, but how big are they? There are already tons of indoor fliers, I wonder how this one differs from the rest... Any idea about the price?

Is it true they can take off from the ground? I was thinking of getting two and running air races in a local gym and it would be awesome to take off and land? Do they perform well?

Weird way of sterring by using a rear propellor.

Before anything else, I must say that these things SUCK. They have crazy wing loading and are too heavy.
That said, they are a decent value. The Rx is small and the battery is a real Li-Ion, which means you can actually get decent flight times. They are 30.00 at hobbypeople.net, and if you are willing to make a new plane to put them in and replace the tailrotor with an actuator, you can make a decent plane.

To re-iterate:
No, they cannot ROG, because they CAN NOT FLY.
The internals could certianly be of use, though.

Guys ....

Why nobody is saying that this Z-Plane is the most cool micro RC plane available for few bucks ?

I have one.

It fly very well. It is very easy to fly ... it take off from ground ... but normally I prefer to fly it without the landing gear ... since it allow better fly performance.

An guys, for few bucks ... you get a LiPo airplane ... it has a ultra light & small 3.7V LiPo inside !

Not a crappy NiMh like the little cars !

It is a must for these few bucks of cost.

This airplane is also very duarble ... since it is so light that it don't get damage out of a crash .

The only issue, since it is so small and light ... it is that it fly best with no wind ... and can be fly with just a slow wind ...

Where do they sell them? I looked at their online list and came up empty. Couldn't even find any on Ebay.

Racer9, ROG stands for Roll Off Ground. It means you take off by placing the plane on the ground and applying throttle instead of throwing it.
