Quick gear changes
I got tired of taking it all apart to change out the gears. So I modified the rear top plate.
All you gotta do is cut out a slot in the top plate large enough to allow the gears to slide in and out of the space between it and the motor mount.
Take the rear suspension off as a unit- 4 screws (2 on top near battery holders, 2 on the bottom) put a gear in the space between the motor mount and the top plate, and mark the area that will allow you to just drop the gear in.
Take the plate off, cut out the marked area, and bevel the edges on the bottom.
Re-assemble it, and you are done.
Now, when you need to change your gears, you just pull the 4 screws out, slide the suspension off, shake it upside down and the gear falls out- drop your new one in and that's it. You may need to manipulate it a little to get the shaft back in, but it's a lot faster than dissasembling the whole thing every time.
