Well, I called today and nothing has been released yet. It seems my "contact" is no longer employed there, hence why she stop calling me. And I thought it was becuase I came on to her.
None the less, nobody else is willing to make personal favor phone calls. Guess they all heard about me. Oh well, I will bug the you know what out of them everyday then...

Hmmm, that's interesting...Looks like they either moved or removed the article!
...But at least the pic still works.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking I was missing it.
Edit - I just emailed them about it.
Edit number 2 - He just replied with a one word reply. He said "removed". Radioshack probably got on them about it.
Edit number 3 - I looked at a cached version of that page from september 6th and I still cant find the article. Here is a link. I just found a cache from september 5th and it is not on there either. I am guessing that was to early.

Here's the text from that article:

Radio Shack along with Harper Motorsports (Carolina Crusher) will air a new television commercial this fall. The commercial features the Carolina Crusher monster truck throughout Radio Shack’s new product line of Zip Zaps. The Radio Shack Zip Zaps feature authentic monster truck paint schemes in 1:64th scale. Filming for the commercial took place in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area early last week. Although the shooting only took a few hours it required a lot of hard work by many.
Four of the new Zip Zaps include Monster Patrol, Bigfoot, The Hulk and Spiderman. The photo to the right are of pre-production models created by Mikes Hobby Shop Superstore in Carrollton, Texas.
As of now a date has not been set on the actual release date for the Radio Shack commercial. A release date on when the Zip Zap trucks will launch for retail sale is also unknown at this time.
Circle R media was the company responsible for the Radio Shack commercial shoot. Circle R media is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Thanks for the info about the article. I will email the guy who reported the article and see if he has any better pics he can spare.
Edit - I just realized that is the guy who I already emailed. I guess we wont get any more pics from them.
I can't wait.

Those monster trucks look pretty fun....and there won't be any issues with the bodies being jacked up too high
By the price, you would think they would have the SE electronics. However, these things look like they got a lot more to them, so it could be the OG ZZ internals....then again, could have completely different electronics all together.
Looking forward to seeing these hit the stores.
