if I could make you ANYTHING out of plastic.. ??

if I could make you ANYTHING out of plastic.. for your Xmod or other RC cars... what would it be? and how much would it be worth?

I am talking things you will have to paint or use as is when I send it... like plastic rims, nos bottle details, spoilers... BODY KITS anything... provided I can either make, or am sent a 3D solid model of it... if its totaly custom its then your copyrighted item if you can send the part to a place and they can mass produce it for you even... or just use that one individual part for your car detail... I can even make a hooter babe figure for you to paint up and pose next to your car... any thing...

I will hopefuly be able to do this very soon... along with my own custom 4WD 1:28 scale chassis (that is mini-z based no xmod based)...

I might even send a few parts to TinyRC for them to produce/sell under their name... and or Mini-Z Racer.com...

This web site, if I ever update it! lol!... is where more details will be: http://3D-Plastic.com

Those hood scoupes everyone tries to fabricate out of Sculpey and stuff would probably grab some customers. Actual opening doors would be cool, too - scissor doors, especially.

new suspension mounts. especially the rear. make it so that the camber doesnt change as the suspension goes up. look at any electric/nitro monster truck and you'll know what i mean. upper and lower a arms, knuckles. bigger rims. ones that the tires can fit over to change the final drive ratio. a new chassis that sits higher. (for the rally guys) cone gears, out of harder plastic so that the gears wont wear out as quick. maybe a differential gear that is harder with slightly bigger teeth. maybe a driveshaft. body clips front and rear. ill come up with some more later.

new rear C cups.
use better plastic than the cheap RS ones.
or just make aluminum c cups instead.

how about bodies designed for the xmod? it woudlnt' have to be modular, can be one piece like the mini-z bodies. i'd like to see an RX-7 or RX-8 body, GTI or Jetta, the Celica of the previous generation (the one with four round headlights in front), any of the new turbo'ed volvo's that are out or coming out, peugot 206, WRX STi, Evo, or 350z. it's gotta be thick strong plastic (at least as strong as the xmod's) so it can take teh abuse. gotta have some spots for 3mm led's though a few more spots for foglights/driving lights woudl be nice too, pre-drilled and all. probalby somethign with clear windows and windshield. it's gotta be able to use an existing front clip and must have a mount for the rear tab. front clip and rear tab we can provide ourselves. maybe matchign stock wheels for the appropriate car?

TinyRC is making aluminum cup joints (c-cups) $35 for a set of 4. front and back, left and right its for AWD applications. now if only someone could make an aluminum dogbone instead of the half and half. (half plastic, half metal)

Maybe different front suspension pieces that could be interchanged in order to adjust camber.

Parts that need to be perfect and durrable, like gears... I likely will not be able to make directly off the machine I plan to get...

Bodies would be beyond my modeling abilities... I can draw a car in 3D, but it wont look like a scale model of a real car... so only way I could make a body is if some one supplied me with a SOLID (NOT FACES) 3D file of the body they wanted...

As for the Xmod suspension, camber, why bother? the slop in the wheels, even when "fixed" is so bad, that you can add all the + or - camber you want it wont change anything...

So, if I do anythign chassis related, it will be a 100% totaly new chassis... from screws to motor to gears axles etc... (wich ive been designing off and on since way before the Xmod was out).

yes its gona be a RC car with the worx... it might even rival the Micro RS4... in parts and features, in speed? , no clue lol.. but ive had the design sitting here unable to build it cuz the parts would cost too much and I would want a "prototype" first... so its unlikely I will ever actualy build it...
