Exclamation I think I fried something!? I need a bit-mechanic

I over charged my dual cell S2K and now the run time is crap. like 1.5 minutes. I just left it on the charger I made from 4 AA batts. But for like 30-45 minutes! Man what a stoner move! Any ideas?

The fact you have runtime at all means the PCB is ok. You just need new batteries.

I am not sure about mixing capacities. Mah. I personally wouldn't.

...go crazy?

Don't mind if I do!

I did a dual cell in another bit, but because I lowered the body and couldn't get it all to fit. It was fast though. Its in bits at the moment.

I am waiting to do a laymens mod on this bit. L3V3L1 is going to send me the cells.

I am tempted to a get a zipzap because they are bigger. More room for batts.

I put a 50 and a 150 in my bB, and it worked just fine. Little longer run time than 2X50's, but not as much as 2x150's. Performance was good though. Wheelies out the yang.

I could'nt pull wheelies with my dual-cell and a 2.6, but my 3.8 is shot. Gotta clone 2.8 but it's too long.

if you mix different amperage batteries the total amperage of the two wired barreries will be that of the lower capacity one
so if you put in the 50mah with the 150 mah it will be only 50 mah

My clone motors have WAY out performed my 2.6's and my 3.8's. If they're too long, just sand/shave/grind a teenie bit of the button-nipply-nub off the back end of it, it'll fit. They fit mine just fine w/ a snibbit of modification.

Well put! A little brain salad surgery never hurt, as long as you're careful, and it works.

Definitely do not mix mah (mili amp hour rated) batteries, it's wrong and it's dumb. You should be ashamed.
Well, not really, but it works LESS well than the lower mah rated one because of electrical inequalites when charging.

Whenever possible you want new matched pairs (or whatever). Used matched ones are okay too, as long as they are the same mah rating.

I was TRYING to blow up my car when I mixed. I was pissed at it. It had the last laugh, so I was nice to it and treated it to a paire of 150's later.

Lord nick's terrible mistake

Lord_Nick_D wasn't correct when he said that the current of the low bat. dominates. Of course, if you want longer run times you can mix different rated bats (one hi,one lo), like 50 and 200Ma , for example, and actually get 250Ma. You just have to link them in parralel.
