Finally Got a Micro B

Picked up a Micro B the other day, and I must say I love it. I am very impressed with the performance right out of the box. I did a few free mods, and I have some aftermarket parts on the way. I'll post pics as I go along.

Here are pics of the free mods. I noticed a lot of people were ripping their antenna off so I added a small tube to help reduce the risk of that, and I hated the small body clips so I used some 3M self adhesive velcro on the sides of the chassis and body to secure the lid. It works very well and makes removal and installation much quicker and easier.

I will be doing some extra little details to improve the scale appearance over the weekend, and will update this thread as I go along so stay tuned.

I started doing the details, and now I'm on a roll. First was to dremel out the windows, and add some window nets. Here's where it's at so far.

Ok CA dried, and I found some self adhesive gold foil. I cut the foil into racing stripes for the hood and roof, and applied them.

While I was cutting foil I decided to cut some numbers as well. I just used 1's since it made it easier to make 3 alike. Here's a few pics of the finished product. I am working on a driver also and will post pics once he's installed.

I like it. Nice ad clean and original. I've been resisting buying one of these, but my will is weakening, lol.

I found it easy to resist buying one until I was at the LHS last week, and a couple guys were running them around the track. I was amazed at how well they worked, and couldn't believe how fast they were right out of the box. Needless to say I grabbed one right then and got in on the action. You won't regret getting one they are a blast to run, and so far mine has been rock solid durable. Best $75 I have spent on RC in a long time.

Thanks. A commision would be nice LOL! but I am just telling it like it is. These things are a riot, and customizing it was just as enjoyable.

Lol what's happening? Yeah this section here is really dead. Nothing like one18th and microtforum but it's one more place to post and maybe find some good info.

Lol surfing for pics for reference is how I ended up joining here. Now I figure I'll do my part to try and make this section a little more "alive" if you will.
