question about AWD kit
the kit comes with two diffs, the one preinstalled in the awd kit and the extra ball diff for replacing the stock rear diff. is the front preinstalled diff the open planetary type or the limited slip ball type?

The front AWD diff is the gear type I looked at mine before I installed it into my RSX.Actually I greased both diffs before installing them.
AWD diffs>front = gears/back = balls.
