mods

Hey does anyone know of any mods that can be done on the digi q? i've seen body, led, tire and a chasis mod but that's about it. I've noticed theres a lot of mods for bit charg's but not the digiq(probly cuz they aren't as popular) so if you know of a something like a speed mod or sumthing(like work done on the car, not getting another controller) plz tell me!

You've got the WRONG idea thinking there isn't as many mods because the DigiQ is less popular.

...Once you upgrade to a Digi Propo Special controller, EVERYTHING is configurable from an LCD screen. Whereas you've got to do a mod for the same thing on a Bit.

For instance:
To make the car faster
- With a Bit you'd have to try different gearing and motors
- With a DigiQ, you squeeze the trigger harder.

To get better reception/distance
- With a Bit you've got to modify the Antenna (car and controller), or even try soldering in new antennas
- With a DigiQ, it's already using Infrared which has a range of about 15-20 feet

I'm not saying the DigiQ is a superior car (in some respects it is, is some it isn't)...But DON'T mistake a lack of modification options as a sign of popularity (or lack thereof)

ok ok i get your point, i probl think they aren't as popular just cuz i've spent too much time in hong kong where most people play with bit charg's just cuz they're cheaper....i know that the propo special makes everything configurable but i couldn't get my hands on one....and i know that to make the q go faster you can squeeze the trigger harder, but it could only go so far so if there are anymods or if you've got any ideas of how to do one, can you tell me?

btw nice site namuna!

For the DigiQ, I know of only the following mods:

- ChoroQ to DigiQ, bodies
- LED
- Hotwheels to DigiQ
- ID mod

That's about it.

the ID mod is to change the ID of the car...For instance; if your car is ID4...You could mod it to ID2

No, the Delay is an inherent part of the IR system. With the Digi Propo Special, you can manually control the steering angle; anywhere from super tight (360degree turns in position) to super wide.

Have you looked at DigiQBodyworks? Man, we're WAY behind on DigiQ mods here. There's already a pretty standard mod for making your Digi's guts low profile for body mods. There's a couple of Digis with turning front wheels like the wheels on the Formulas and the new Racing type DigiQRs. There's even three wheeler Digis (one with a turning front wheel) that are supposed to be much better for technical driving courses. And ofcourse there's an endless number of absolutely gorgeouse body mods.

Check it out,

The English site is really the same site through the Babelfish translator and it's hard to understand, but a picture speaks a thousand words.

NP.

Hey, chp, I have a question about your avatar. Is that a mod SD(superdeform)ing the F&F Eclipse zipzap body?! If so, where'd you find it? I NEED to know. I've been wanting to make an Eclipse or Eagle talon Digi for ever now!

Oh, if anyone knows of the existence of an Eclipse/Talon ChoroQ or similar model, you'd make me a very happy fella by letting me know.

Cheers!
