MiniVee - Off-road style!
Ever since I got it, I've loved this car. Out-of-the-box it drove the smoothest out of any car. Very quiet and just seemed to glide across the hardwood. With the help of my special tires, now it glides across the carpet like no other. The tires are from a discontinued hopper slot car. I bought an old(antique) one for $30 (something like that) and started reproducing the back tires for my enjoyment.

Say what? If you're asking for some tires, I only work in trade.

You were the one that told me about them I believe. These are really the greatest tires for carpet. I've been sitting on these hoping I could find a nice Baja body, but then the Humvee came out and it worked perfectly.
This pic is ok, right?
My inspiration

im kinda weary of doing that.
im sure most people are honest and all but what happens if i do that and accidentally scratch something or whatever? and you get mad because of that and decide not to pay.
another scenario is i do this for you and you email me 6 times per day buggin if its done yet.
i not saying that you would do either but im sure someone would and i want to avoid that.
id rather sell cars already sooped up with a doa guarantee and be done with it.
what would you pay? to make it worth my time id have to charge 15-20bucks per car. then i may as well tune her up. so i dono

Well I am the Lead Web Developer for www.journeyed.com and I could use FedEx overnight or 2 day to get you the cars. As wise as turn around that would be up to you. I have 2 new cells comming with 2 new 3.8 perfection motors and was looking to stick some of this in my 2 Bad to the Bone Skyline with lots of body mods and some others stuff. Well it was just a thought, if you are not interested I will spend my weekend doing it. All I need at this moment is some flux to get the wires to stick to the battery better.
Thanks!

you dont need flux. just sandpaper. rough up the battery ends.
i put them in a vice after roughing up and put a little solder on the iron and just kinda scrape at it until a few little droplets stick and then i melt fresh solder on the bat. you dont need much.
then put a little more solder on the iron and coat the tip of the wire that you are attaching. this is called "tinning" anytime you solder two parts together they should be tinned.
ok back to the battery solder job.
take your tinned wire and lay the end across the solder that you already put on your battery. kinda hold it there and press the iron against the wire not the solder. wait a few secs and all of a sudden you have molten solder and the wire end kinda disappears into the solder. you can ad a little fresh solder to secure it better and you are done. dont go overboard with solder tho.
also my friend wants me to remind you guys that solder contains a lot of lead and lead is not good for you so always clean up and wash your hands and dont let little kids play around it.

Hog,
I have about four sets of tires that I'm using or modding as we speak. They do not fit on standard bit wheels, but they can be modded. As for trading them? I'm gonna take a pass as I would like to have more but lack the machine and talent that Stridex has in making new ones.
Also some of the ones I have are beginning to suffer from dry rot which prompts me to ask Stridex...
What do you need from me so that I can get a set from ya? Remember I did give you the idea of the old Hopper slot car wheels.
It's worth a shot LOL
