Ok the bodies attech by pins on the inside of the body that line up into holes drilled into the side of the chassis.

Wheel meaurements:

Front of front wheel to back of rear: 3 1/8"
front Axle to rear Axle: 2 1/2"
Wheel Diameter: 5/8"
outer edge of wheel to outer edge of wheel Width: 2 7/8" (just under)

That is common slotsurfer cause slot cars as well as static models have no steering and no suspensions.
You need to enlarge the wheelwells especially front because the wheels need room so they can steer. Its easy to mod but better check first if there is room for the PCB, steering servo and motorpod.
Thanks Gertman, did you finally bid on a '57 Chevy?

This is where problems can occur. The PCB is not on the picture but it is close to the windshield of most car models.
I had to forget this Ferrari Daytona project for this reason.

I am really weird about scale looking things got get over this sickness. It was only about 3mm needed to be taken of the wheel wells.I am going to save up for the spec 2.But for you guys that would like to try diffrent bodies here is the link to Carrera Look at the profi series and the GO 1/43.I purchased the cars fromModellbahn Kramm Very nice people to deal with took about 3 weeks to get me in California. For you Rally freak out there here is a company the makes very scale looking rally cars out of resin and diecast also wheels, tires.Racing 43 You could use the diecast and make a vacuum formed body.I think micro mark has a small vaccum form table.
Have fun

No way slotsurfer, the Mini is MY favorite car...(both new, awaiting tax return to finish order!!!! MCS, and the old ones!)

And the epoch is a sweet little machine, would be nice to have those slot bodies on them.

If you already got a spec1, just wait and buy a chassis/body epoch set from tinyrc!

No way dont say that slotsurfer, the new Mini isn't all that expensive.

Mine soon to be on order is the Mini Cooper S, and loaded as i want it, it will only run me $22,075.

Ok I have a question about how you are measuring stuff because one of you is saying that the car is 2 7/8" from outer edge of wheel to outer edge of wheel wide and in the image that fovea3d has it marked as 46mm. I checked on several different millimeter to inches converters and all of them came out to 1.81"

I really need to know this information because of a track system that I am working on and I have a couple of 1/43 scale cars for testing purposes (not Epoch obviously) that are 1 3/4 inches wide, but they are not fully proportional and I hear that the Epoch is the only fully proportional car at the 1/43 scale.

For me to implement all of my ideas on the track system that I am working on I will need a fully proportional car at 1/43 scale.

Thanks and sorry if I sound nit picky but this is vital information to me.

Hi steelo,
I just double checked and I am sure on my ruler it is 4.6 cm (46mm or 1.81"), maybe tending to 47 but still in the 46's. I checked on several cars even on spec 2's wich use the same diff and rims. I don't think there are different width of rims but even with wider wheels it would not reach 2 7/8 in any case, this is almost the width of a mini-z wich is 1/28. Maybe the specs you found were for mini-z?

fovea, thanks for clearing that up for me. I was going by the first reply on this thread. No biggy. At least now I know that I will be able to use these cars for demonstrating my ideas when the time comes.
