Camera on bit char-g?
I want to install a mini camera on my bit char-g or epoch racer.
You can find them at www.superinventos.com/S130312E.htm
Does anyone know if this is possible? It would be neat to drive
the car from it's perspective.
Here is another small one..

Does anyone know of a better place to get an even smaller one?

This camera does not have a radio transmitter, so you would have to add that in, along with a receiver on the other end. Don't know where you can get transmitters that small. It also states that you need a 5V power source.

enderbean, try a desktop rover with a camera..
Works great, even goes on shag carpeting. Transmits directly to a TV. (Or PC if you have video input).
I use them to give a "ground level" view of my bits. It's also GREAT for chasing pets! ..er I mean sharing special moments with your best friend

TinyRC did a review on them here:

you could probably mount an x10 camera pretty easily and it would do the same thing.

the x10 battery operated unit is pretty massive and has a fairly large square dish transmitter compared to the others (the desktop rover is just a small antenna wire). But go for it!

Excellent! That's the one I have. My rover is way to slow to race (playing laser tag with them is another story), but I get some great ground angle shots as they (my bits) zoom by.

We put a Plantraco Cam in a Mini-Z; anything smaller, and you'd have to put it on as opposed to in the car. We're working on some smaller power sources that might open up new possibilities!

Why couldn't it fit in the Epoch? It is only 4" like the rover.

It doesn't fit inside the stock Rover; the camera uses a new "body" for the Rover that adds significantly to the height of the tank in order to accomodate the camera and 9V battery.
