Sweet spot for a Track!!

In my complex, we have a big area dedicated to a Basketball court and some Tennis Courts.

Just so happens that the way it was setup, there's a nice size gap between the Basketball Court and one of the Tennis Courts:

and here's another angle:

I rough measured it out to be about 20'x40'

Wellllll, it's a "dead" spot that nobody's using so I figured what the hell? Let's USE it for some racing action!!!

Last night I got my Xray M18 all set and had a buddy of mine stop by with his 1/18th scale truck (don't recall what it is) and we had a BLAST!!! We even had a little audience for awhile too.

Check out the vid:

Yeah, I've lived here 2 years and it only recently dawned on me how great a spot that is!

Notice the blue tubing used as a lane divider...It's a Pool "Noodle"!! You know, those long tubes you see kids use at the pool, they cost like $1 each!

They're 5' long each, we put 3 together and it was STILL too short to take full advantage of the length of that little area!

So I figure I'll just buy a BUNCH more of them noodles and just use duct tape to shape them into lanes and hold them down.

Having a fun place to race is great...Setting up that track for CHEAP makes even sweeter!
