Fender Gap (Comparing Spec 1 and 2)

This post is ment to be an informational one about the fender gap on the Epoch 1/43's.

Let's start off with a Spec 1's fender gap, this is off of Tom's Supra body:

I think it looks pretty darn huge.

The Rear:

Please note, both rear wheel wells were modified by ME It was done with a round file on the side of the well closeset to the front. I did it because there was very LITTLE clearence for the tires, AND it looked bad.

Because I modified them by hand, I am showing both sides:

The Speed Racer car also comes with a Racer X body. Here is a picture of the fender gap.

The rear has a skirt, you will see it fine in a full body shot. Here is a picture with some hight on it, to make the gaps look better:

Some thoughts about the Speed Racer and Racer X bodies:

-very heavy

-seam to sit ONTOP of the chassis

-made cheaply with large visable parting lines!!!

I would like to contrast all the pictures I have previously shown with these of a Spec 2. This is the Subaru WRC body.

Because I increased the speed of my Epoch Spec 2, please see the article on the 4 cell mod, I needed some more stability around turns. also, because of the increased speed, I didn't want to damage my beautiful Subaru WRC STI body

I installed the Tom's Supra body from my Spec 1. The wheelbase is longer so I adjusted my car to match. It is set to 3 see the attached picture.
