It helps a little to kind of fray the cotton at the ends to make it slightly more like smoke. But it still won't look like smoke.

If you're not going to resize, at least crop.

Blur the rear wheels, too. It gives the whole thing away if there's 'smoke' pouring from them and they don't even appear to be moving.

most digi cams have a fast enough shutter speed to capture the motion of the wheel in one state. they do not appear to be blurred, as i went to etown and took some pics of burnouts in the stage lanes and when i looked at the pics later on, they were completely motionless in appearance.

I thought it was awesome also, that is why i did it. I would have done it with the body on but it had a bad run-in with my painting skills
