My headlight mod. [Pic included]
Well I couldn't figure out why my 6 pronged switch wouldnt work so I made one of the simplest hedlight mods ever.
I'll post directions and pictures of the inside tomorrow. When I'm done you'll slide the battery in, it'll fall down and land on the LED wires [ now i have to place it their] and turn on.

Well that was my "prototype" model. I used a lighter to heat up the front and then an exacto knife to cut out the headlight plastic.
Then I spent several hours trying to get the switch circuit to work, i gave up.
That models pretty much just 2 LEDS hot glued into the sockets, wrapped around a battery.
I'm almost finished with the next one, which will have a switch in the rear windshield or the bumper.

Head Lights:
Here's a VERY basic guide. This isn't enough to build it, but this info. is enough to start to grasp it. Either late late tonight or tomorrow ill have a step by step guide.
First, space your 2 LED's apart, about the width of the car. Solder a wire from the left ones negative wire to the right ones negative wire. Then solder the left LEDs positive wire to the right ones positive wire. They are now linked, and practically work as one.
Here's an image.
Now, solder or melt or cut out, the holes where the lights will shine through. Pretty much , cut out where the fake painted head lights are.
Stick our little headlight connection thing's LED's right in front of it. Match them up, apply a little super glue. Now You'll need a switch.
Make a hole in the rear for a switch, then stick the switch in. It should be a 2 pronged switch [ http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=275%2D406 ]

--Part 2--
You need to get a 3 volt battery. I dont have the package near so details will come tomorrow.
Solder a wire from the LED prong all the way to the right to the negative side of the battery.
Place the battery on the middle/bottom of the inside of the body kit.
Now, solder a wire from the positive side of the battery to the left prong on the switch.
Now, solder a wire from the right wire on the LEFT LED , to the other / last prong on the switch..
Everything is from the perspective of the body kit being upside down, laying pointing forward.
Now just sticky tack or superglue everything so its not dangling, you're going to need to squeeze it ot the top so your kit fits on your car.
I haven't found a way for it to lock on, its too high, again, you need sticky tack / super glue untill i figure this one out.

This kit ended up costing me $33, but that's including the soldering iron , and extra body [ i messed one up pretty bad] , that I had to get.
I also bought the wrong kind of switch once, and an extra battery. [ Hey we all make mistakes, this is my first "custom" mod...]
So you can buy everything from radioshack if you already have a soldering iron and zipzap, for about=
$7.
-------
I don't reccamend trying to do this untill the full guide is up, this is just for techniques / ideas, and to look at the pictures untill i get a more detailed guide online. If you do try and do it, it's your choice and I take no responsibility for your zipzap. Then again, I did it and it was my first soldering job ever.
