Battery Question

Are there any other options?? $20 seems a little steep for a battery that size.

thanks,

These are excellent quality Korean made Li-Po batteries that build up no memory. It's worth every penny, IMO.

I know that but I thought you were talking about after market batteries. I guess the conversation is about the original Kyosho battery for dnano.

Yeah we're talking about the stock dNaNo battery. I don't think aftermarket batteries are available yet.

Battery Mods

...next on my hit list. There's no reason why 200+ MAH Li-Po's would not work with a bit of modification. The weight increase is negligible and the run-time would go way up. Just be careful, because there are a lot of so-so Li-Pos out there. Also, I doubt the stock charger gets near capacity, as Kyosho probably errs in the safest range of charge/discharge in order to enhance battery life - not necessarily a bad thing, but not at the performance peak either.

Do read R/C helicopter forums, those guys live and die by Li-Po technology and have very good information on the best chargers, charging rates and quality cells.

I have a lot of Plantrco micro flight equipment and am looking into using their BAHOMA technology to instantly connect an aftermarket cell to a charger, or some of their micro-connectors that can handle the current but are not overly bulky. (Check out Plantraco.com, they have very good knowledge on small Li-POs and connector/charger technology).

i know several people using microflight lipo batteries which are very easy to find at most all hobby shops and much cheaper.
i'm hoping to get a post on the mod to use them with the car and charger.

I bought two of these as I heard they will fit inside the dNano without much issue: http://robotbirds.com/catalog/produc...oducts_id=3016

It was $12 for two of them shipped to the US, not bad. I haven't tried to do anything with them yet since dNano is dead here still, but if they do work I'll probably order a few more.

You can also use the li-po from Kyosho's micro heli. I've seen people mod these to work at the shop here. I think they're slightly smaller capacity but much lighter.
