K'NEX Mad Force
As I looked at an old RCCA that had the RCX Mad Force on the cover I came up with a stupid idea. I set out to build a realistic looking truck....
Guess what... I did! It even has solid axle suspension with torsion arms and even has cheezy not so great shocks made from a few K'Nex. When I am completely done to my satisfaction i will show it for all to see. I dropped it from about 8 feet and it just snapped a torsion rod thingy(a flexy K'Nex popped out of another). A wheel fell off and a bunch of blue spacers flew everywhere. i found them and reassembled it.
I will post pics once I take them and once it is completely to my satisfaction.
BTW Any other odd K'Nex creations?

i have built everything from winches to rock crawlers out of K'Nex. I even built a 4 foot long limo once. almost all of my creations now are 4WD like my first rock crawler. what wheels are you using I'd suggest the Cheveron patern ones from the monster truck set they're on red rims.

I am using these 4 inch diam tires that are about 1/2 inches wide. They work but they look stupid. My brother has a six wheel drive tractor trailer that runs off an electric K'NEX motor. He converted it from a six wheel drive rock crawler. I have a 4WD rock crawler run by an electric K'NEX Motor. Runs very well. Can flex 90 degrees without snapping
I made some smoother working shocks out of different positioning. I really need more pieces to make it be able to have 4WD. That would be awesome!
Any pics of the rock crawlers? What do they run on?

the crawlers are long gone now i used the parts for other things and all of them eventualy got torn apart for storage. I ran all of em on the electric motor. The tires im talkin about are 4 3/4"tall and 2 1/2" wide.

they arent real heavy i got them in a kit that was for making monster trucks it came with posterboard body panels and stuff also came with working shocks that would help the look of your rig.

I did some testing outside today. It performed well but durability is an issue. I did some nice jumps off my MTB jump. I also ramped it up the slide on my swing set and out the other side (I have the wooden kind of swing set that has a slide on the front and a door on the back. Next to the door is a window type thing that I ramped it out of). It was about 8 ft. in the air at its apogee. The first jump resulted in massive destruction. The second just blew out the suspension flexy things. It was very nice otherwise because it landed on its wheels. I drove it off one of my picnic tables and it landed HARD on the concrete and shattered. Gotta wait for it to stop raining!
