Tiny is it expensive to run this site?

tiny i wated to start a site using vbb but i went to there site only to find it cost $85 for the software thats with out webhosting :O

what is the total cost for you to run this site? ( i understand if you dont want to tell) i relly like the way your site looks and feels if

Racemonster505, the software is actually a tiny drop in the bucket of what it costs to run the site. The main cost is the bandwidth - we're head and sholders above any other small scale RC site (and don't forget we've got three of them to run, Mini-ZRacer.com and YourMicro.com also dominating their respective markets). I can't reveal our exact hosting costs obviously, but I can tell you that I could lease a nice sports car for the same monthly cost!

I doubt he makes millions or anything. Bandwidth is VERY costly, especially when people don't obey the rules and do searches on questions answered MILLIONS of times before. Also try to host your own pics, this lowers the bandwidth considerably.

I was thinking about trying to offer low cost forum service, but a dedicated T1 line is about $1500 per month...yikes!

i was seriously thinking of being a uk agent for dinball in honk kong,but i have to be realistic and work everything out cost wise yet,bandwidth,e store etc,i have quite a bit of money coming soon

fastboy, I think that would be a big mistake, they're a bit dodgy, and you'd be violating UK copyright agreements and laws depending on what items you import from them.
