New Super Street Upgrade

I just got it and it's pretty cool. Integra Type R and RSX Type S for the SE bodies. Comes with Rims and additional spoiler's that don't seem to fit very well, but decals instead of motors. But the most impressive thing is that both bodies have blue underglow that starts as soon as you start charging the car. It's pretty tight. I just checked the RS site and it's not even on there.

Well that's interesting, my impression was the polar opposite.

Here's a a repost of the review I posted yesterday at bitPimps.

Found this at the Shack today.

I kinda like the RSX, so I had to get it. It includes 2 bodies, 2 sets of tires, 2 sets of new hubcaps, 2 sets of spare wings in alternate colors, and 3 sheets of decals.

1 set of decals is Super Street and Zip Zap logos, but the others are kinda cool, with graphics, stripes, Acura logos, numbers, and CF hoods.

The stickers are pretty nice, and fairly thin, but could be a lot more flexible. The CF hoods are cut no where near close to fitting the shape of the hood.

The bodies have separate front and rear ends to hide the slots, and look fairly long, and more true to scale than other Zip Zap bodies, when they're off the chassis.

You might notice a slight lip along the bottom edge of the side, like it's body kitted, and the windows are blacked out. What that is for, is what appears to be an underglow light, but I haven't tested it yet.

Unfortunately, the bodies sit like monster trucks because of that little underglow thingy.

The front tabs on these chassis are already lowered for my muscle car bodies, so you can imagine how bad it would be. On the plus side, since it has separate pieces for the front and rear ends, it should be easy to cut new slots, but the underglow thingies might have to go.

Bottom line, pretty disappointing for $12.99. I mean 3 sheets of almost decent decals in place of 3 gear sets, and 2 fast motors. That don't calculate. I'm wondering if I was mischarged. :???:

...and here's a couple shots with the stickers.

BTW my wings fit fine. Better than the body fits on the chassis.

The part number is 600-7538

It don't make it faster, but the CF hood sticker makes lighter.

Ooooh!!!! The ugly rice comes with 3 sheets of decals so you can install a Stickercharger! The Stickercharger should more than make up for the power loss of not getting the hotter motors and gear sets. Now if only it came with a Fart-cannon exhaust, you could really be Farse and Furious!

The underbody light sounds kinda cool. How did they do it? surface mount LEDs, fiberoptic...

The underglow works pretty good, and is kinda cool looking.

If you look at the pic of the underbodies above, you can kinda see what's going on. There is an led coming out either side of wire harness. Then there's a piece of clear plastic that carries the light down the side in what appears to be side skirts, and the light is focused out the bottom.

Is it metal???? The bodies look like their made out of metal. You're going to need a few Type-R stickers to make it go like a normal ZZ.

Yep, SE bodies are interchangible with the normal ZZ bodies.

You won't be able to have the lights work on a normal chassis ZZ though. Just like if you don't plug them in on a SE.

No offense, but I think they're ugly. It seems that RS is trying for the F&F crowd again. Too bad, the Muscle Cars look pretty good. I was hoping they'd make more.
