the ones RS sells are just the standard black clip from the Xmods yes? -- these are intended to fit mini-z and model body convertions...

what if they were made of aluminum? 2 out of 3 of my clips are broke. would aluminum be better?

the clips have to flex.
so aluminum is a no-no.

well I plan to make (design) about 3 different versions, it will be upto TinyRC weather or not to produce and sell them, rightnow just this one prototype is being made to see if it will even fit, I might goofed on the dimensions... I only have the skyline so hopefuly all the cars rear mounts are about in the same place? +/-

any way the 3 versions will be for various shaped rear windows, I hope to let the modifier of the body, glue it to the body and not the window.. but maybe let it rest on the window for extra support, its purely a cut to fit thing, so there might be one to fit the Vitz/cooper/peogeot bodies, another for the viper like bodies to mount on the roof of the car, and then another for alteza like bodies to mount more on the trunk of the car... maybe a 4th for bodies like the F40 were trunk and roof are too far away, and it might need to set on the rear fender shoulders...

Either way it will require a dremel tool to grind the area below the original clip shape, to fit the body needed... Since I happen to have a new blue viper body sitting here that came with a missing side body clip (yanked the other one off my self) from a Mini-Z.. the viper will be the first one I convert with it.
