ok, one more here.

I think I see why you might be a bit confused about the inline thing. In another thread cyborgzero found resistors on the pcb in series with the steering pot(still talking about the controller here), if you lower the value of those it does the same as parralleling resistors to the pot. would probably be neater and easier to do it cyborgzeros way.

Also I was thinking(dangerous when I'm dealing with electronics, I know just enough to get me in trouble) you could possibly put one leg of a trimmer pot parrallel to both legs of the steering pot to get the adjustable sensitivity you were talking about. Might be worth a try.

Hmmmm.

I think... I think doing it that way would remove the isolation between the left and right channels. You might end up with crosstalk; The steering signal from the left side getting bounced through to the right side, and vice versa.

Then again, I could be wrong, because you said using two seperate resistors bridging around the pot works...

Unfortunately, I don't have one I can work on right now, so I can't find out for myself. Alas.

RS had a buy 2 get 1 free deal on zip zaps, so i broke down and got 3 for the price of 2. I chose both RX7s and a blue Audi TT. The first yellow RX7 stuttered horrible so I took it back within 2 hours of buying it (RS is really close to my house, actually 4 are). The new enfini RX7 i got runs like a champ with no stuttering. The white savanna i got has a little stutter, its not major. Also it has the NX motor in it, but reverses really slow, but is the fastest forward. Don't know whats up with that. The audi TT also runs like a champ, no stuttering. I am thinking of sending the savanna to microamps "zip zap salon" and getting it a full makeover. But these cars are fun to run. A little slow though, but thats alright because they have superior steering to my MS Pro and can hang with it pretty well.

I did the pot mod. I soldered blue to center, moved green to passenger. Now I can't get the stupid tie bar to the position i want. Does anyone know a technique to move the tie rod over without moving the steering gear. I am not able to get it to simply click because the steering gear moves with it and when it recenters I am back into the position I started. Now the car makes awesome right hands turns, but left is crap. I have to run it withfull bias to the left or else it will be way right. I just need to move that stupid bar across so where it centers I can make the center trim on my controller.

Remove the screws by the servo gears and bend down the front clip.
