Over the long weekend, I worked on installing Q'on's Xpower LED lights into a white Porche 911 GT3. The lights work well (very bright with slight blue tint - like HID full-scale) and the car looks quite realistic. Then, I went to pick up some parts from Sinister (who's track and store are the only game in town right now), as I had d'nano on my mind in order to banish thoughts of impending income tax deadlines.
Driving home, what do I see approaching me from the other side of the road ... a 1/1 scale white 911 GT3. It was dusk and he turned on his lights. I tried to glance under the car as he drove by to see if there was an on-off switch and if he had gyro installed. Nah ... but it sure was freakish seeing the exact "full scale" car turn on his blue-ish HID lights after I had just done that at 1/43 the scale.
I'm working on a complete "night" theme for my track. Nothing but self-amusement here, as its a lot of work, expensive and not all that practical.
I have EL lighting embedded in the rails and chasers running up a jump ramp; in addition to lighting the grandstands and EL-lighted scenery and replica neon signs. I still have some work to do and will hopefully post a video when its all done.

Q'on I see your wife's forum name at your store is "Mrs nanotrax". After my wife ventured down into the basement and asked, "so when's all this going away", I've decided to call her Mrs nomoretracks.
