Battery options

Ok so I know these haven't even been announced in the States yet but I'm already thinking the Losi mcro brushless system would be great, more for efficiency thatn speed. So the next thought is obviously batteries. I'm not very familiar with Lipo's so I may be off base. The losi 2S battery is 180mAH but doesn't really fit the design of HPI H-02 chassis. I was thinking the batteries from either a minium or a blade MCX would be great in pairs. I realize they are only between 110 and 130 mAH, but people are getting 20 minute run times from the 180 in the miro-t.

Any thoughts

Sounds about right, If wired in series.

You will have reduced run time, but probably not much, 180 to 130 is only about a difference of 6 - 7 minutes of rough driving.

I am actually putting either the orion or the losi 1/36 system in a MRCG, but I will be running 4 cell 1100 pack, So I will get A LOT of runtime

I'll be exploring my options soon enough. Stock cells just don't cut it (not to mention charger is pretty much bull*).

Agreed. The batteries are a let down. Why did they not put lipo's in like all the other small rc toys these days(helicopters)? So the search for a battery pack that will fit, but give better run time begins. Let me know if someone finds something better and I will do the same if I find a solution.

Well I found a great place for batteries.
www cheapbatterypacks com. The great thing is they will make your battery packs for you! You can pick the nimh cells the saddle pack configuration and the connector. The only downside is I did not see the conector for this car, so I picked another one and will switch the car connnector over to match. Beats building my own saddle packs...it was very cheap as well.

Well, got the battery packs...and... they are just barely to big. The smallest ones almost fit, good on the length, just slightly to wide. Might have to check out some lipo packs..

Electric 45,

Did that Lipo pack you bought end up working well? Have you done any other mods? I just got one of these cars and it's really slow in stock form.
