MAN! IM SOOO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! i just went to walmart and got 'The legend of zelda' reserved and you get a special bonus disc with 'the Ocarina of time' and 'Master quest'!!! and i got it!!! i went to 3 different places before walmart and they were sold out of those bonus disc's. Even tho i dont have a GameCube yet....i will save up for one just to play zelda

Pie, i will try to get a ride...but now one of my friends said that he would just go to west ed with 3 bux, enough money for bus there and back. So i guess he just wants to walk around because we havent gone there for so long. So now i think im gonna bus there...

lol, u guys are nuts.... dun pay for the bus!! wait til the driver gets off! or dump a load of pennies in there....

well anyway, that's good news... thanks! oh, and i was wondering.. what was the name of that guy ur bro knew?

ohh yeah, and i saw one of the commercials for that game 2day... looks pretty damn nice, those graphix.... well, now that we know ur goin, any specific day/time u looking at?

oh oh, and i found a way to really drop the ride height of the car, not just the body height (cuz the body may be dropped to the point where it is touching the PBC cover/chassis)... anyone interested, just say so.. cuz i gotta think really hard to type it out... and if nobody wants to know then my brain needs rest

when swavey gets back, i can afford to make this chassis into a pure show chassis... dropped to the ground with exhaust and headlights

Hey ralliart,
I just noticed you were in the neighbourhood for a Gamecube. I happen to have a jet black one I'm selling, and for $175cdn, I'll ship it (insured) to you once you save up the money. It comes with one jet black controller, and the original cords. Lemme know, so I can put it on eBay or not. This cube has only ben used a couple times, to test out various games.

hmm yeah, you actually Can lower it with the FS wheelmod... but the problem is, you're going to have to seriously hollow out the wheels wells first.... as well as the chassis.. im sure happy boy can tell you all about it ... but that's not even lowered yet...
if u wanna lower it, then... well i suggest using a tall-ish body.. like a WRX or an accord...

to lower the chassis, you know the white steering knuckles? look at the part where they contact the black steering arm (attached to spring and magnet).... shave/sand that part down on the knuckle, so the chassis will sit lower on the wheels... complicated part is not lowering TOO much... maybe a millimeter or 2... 4 at MOST.... the chassis will scrape the ground otherwise...
the only problem is that the bottom pin of the knucke WILL fall out of the chassis... so you have to extend it.. layers of crazy glue, or a piece of plastic glued on the bottom will do...

*note: driveablility is crap, mainly because the chassis is so low, and there is no body roll.... and you have to either take out the suspension bar, or use MEGA soft suspension if you want it to sit low... you can still put the stock bar on for stock ride height too...

comments? advice anyone?

Fair bit...how long will it take for you to get the money?

As for the 'hot topic' here, I'm afraid of lowering bits anymore...anyone see my 'Slammed Accord' thread?

nope...havent seen your thread...can you give us the link?

well....it might be awhile and i dont really want to keep you waiting because you might get higher bids on e bay and stuff. I have to wait until i have enough saved up for swavey, (a little less than half way done) and then the group buy, and then the 60bux for Zelda Wind Waker....ANNDD i dont really have a fast flowing income soooo i guess it'll be AWHILE so i think you should post on ebay.... But i was planning on buying Gamecube in like...June...hahahha thats a LONG ways away.

SLAM

don't buy a thor clone cuz the one i just got was **** it had some really sticky back tires (stickyer than the orange kitracer tires) but when i pulled it appart one of the clips on the pcb cover was broken and the motor was hard wired in also the steering was well pretty much non exsistant (think drag car) it was slow too. so untill walmart gets someore thunderfighters or perhaps cyclona's i won't be getting anymore clones.

lol Yep! i just checked out that thread.... and that huge mother hole in the back of the accord lol, i got almost that effect... dropped til the front lip scrapes the ground.. im 2 millimeters off... ><".... im gonna test out my theoretical mod with my clone's knuckles... i'll get pix sometime.. cuz IMO it looks pretty mean... not as crazy as pojo's tho!

dabigpig - go for shens! they're about 25 bucks and can run on any surface, climb any hill... but they're not all that fast and the body is ass-ugly..

ralliart - heh man, u owin some good money there... lol espeically for swavey! hmmm any specific time or day u wanna meet up? i think anytime after friday is good...

Wow, been forever since I posted on this forum, and more specifically, this thread! Nice to know it's still going and so strong!! Man, never thought it would get this big, just slightly under 1K posts.

Reading back a few posts I see something about a GameCube being possibly bought.. Being the small video game freak that I am (I own all 3 current major consoles, also bought a new HDTV widescreen TV just to play them on) I can say it's awesome. I pre-ordered the new Zelda and got the bonus disc with Zelda Orcarina of Time and Master Quest. I was going to preorder it at Electronics Boutique on the 14th but they were already out of bonus discs, ended up going to SuperStore to get the damn things. But, the bonus is pure excellence I must say! Metroid Prime is another game I own for it and it made my jaw hit the ground when I put it in, the graphics were THAT good. The Wavebird controller is one of the finest controllers I've used with the excellent Nintendo layout- only problem is no vibration with it, but I don't miss it at all. The only downside I can see to the GC is that some games take 2 discs, while on the PS2 or Xbox- all are 1 DVD! Just my thoughts and remarks.

Also seeing something from the Red Deer guys.. I graduated from LTCHS back in the 2000-2001 year. Good times, good times.. My neighbour is even a teacher there still. Always nice to see some local guys around.

Keep the modding going guys! Hopefully I'll be able to keep track of this thread from now on...
