I think when people say they have the drift axles in the front, I think they are reffering to the plastic front tires that come in the hotwheels kit racer's.

Air Hockey Table!
My dad just got an air hockey table for our basement.
At first i thought "what a waste of money" but then i thought about how slick the surface is, and how it has all those little air jets on the surface and i thought "Drift Table!"
As soon as its up and running im gonna go an see if its really gonna work. To be honest i dont think its gonna be a very significant difference in traction, but it still should be slightly just because of the slick surface.

air hockey
the air holes will not make a large difference in traction. it will spin you out as soon as you try to turn on one though. but you have to drive in straight lines to win races, not circles. if the surface is polished, then leave the air jets off and give it a go. the air only works with the puck like a hover craft, creating a pocket of air to slide on. this minimizes friction. i talk too much.

stupid question
drifting is simply sliding through the corners, right? A.K.A. "dirt-trackin' it"?

hey i just got a ZZ and put a dual cell in it and this thing drifts a lot easier than my microsizers did. i am still practicing recovering after coming out of a drift instead of donuting but so far the ZZ is working nicely. i'm pretty sure it has to do with the larger body because since the dual cells fit into the chassis the weight is distributed very evenly and it almost never flips around turns. i dont have a zz tire kit yet but i have been using microsizer tires and i have still had the best drifting with the stock ones on my wood floor. as for the method of drifting i found that the tapping the opposite direction of the turn and then slamming into the dircetion of the turn works great.

Ok, finally, i got a new car with good strong steering and a good drivetrain. (my old subie was choking)
-despite common sense, you usually need softer tires in the back. Today i used Bit char-g soft (pink) in back and Bit char-g hards (blue) in front. Worked beautifully.
- since i was lazy, i used the stock stabius. It worked fine, but the driving was kinda bumpy and incosistent. Springs would help.
-Single stock cell, TOMY 3.0 and orange gearing (couldnt find my blue acceleration gears today..damn things)
-Stock Lancer body (heavier than most its size)
-stock ride height
So, it worked really well. I did a slalom sorta thing down a gentle slope on plywood, and it was sticky enough to make the car not slip out too much but just drift a little around the turns. Lots of fun. The lancer body is kinda heavy, it tipped over on the bumps while sliding sometimes. The skyline body seems lighter (but no lower) I tried it on my big wood floor and it worked well till the tires built up dust. Gotta clean em pretty often.
12-1 (blue) would have probably worked better for more consistent drifts because the wheels are spinning faster going into a turn.
Thats all for me tonight, i wanna formula34 to try out.

YaY!
Hey everyone just got my Compact Char-G today and it kind of drifts (i think)
It is a Blue Skyline GT-R (stock)
First i drove on my jarrah floorboards in my room which are not the cleanest in the world (pretty dusty)....
I then drove it on my hall made of lino (pretty dusty and a bit slippery)
Then i drove it on my carpet (yes my carpet, it is very short)!
I then had a go on my wooden computer desk and it was doing little drifts (not just doughnuting heaps ). Like the back was flicking out and stuff
hmm.... Might help some.....I dont know if it is drifting tho...??
