not any more..look at the post and the evidence has disappea--- oops!
(Charlie Brown edit) Another thing that would be scary and inappropriate, CB looking at that stuff, I have to respect Mr.Schulz's wishes, but back on the topic: So those cars have gear shifts or something? Yeah the turbo button from 12:1 gear ratio to 1:1 gear ratio

Those are portable cassette player pinch rollers. HO scale slot car wheels and tires would probably work too, but I had these lying around and they were free. Plenty of grip now. The car really does fly, and when you hit the turbo button....vvrrooooom. The gearbox is still noisy, and even with these grippy tires it will still slide and fishtail with the turbo pressed. It wasn't easy to do, this thing is tiny. But, it was definately worth it. As the car was before, I didn't play with it much as it was uncontrollable. Now, it is a blast to scream around on the ole kitchen floor. I'm gonna try it out on my track tomorrow and see if it does better on a good surface.

And here's what I did to the charger/carrying case. I hated the little door that kept falling off, and how hard it was to get the car off the charger when it was ready. And my stubby fingers had a hard time getting the antenna in and out of storage, I wasn't to keen on the nitrous bottle anyway, so I customized my charger to allow easy access to everything. The top is a piece of an old CD.

You won't find the rollers at a hobby shop. You can find them in walkman type cassete players. I had a bunch of the guts from them lying around already. I took the old tires and rims off, put the rollers on the front using tiny brass nails and drillled the holes out larger on the back ones and inserted a small bushing so it fit the Awesome car's rear axel. Worked really well. The car has great traction now and the turbo boost is unreal. I like the new look to. Has a very stock car type feel to it now.
Yeah, cut that charger up. I like mine much better now.
