Those UJs are amaising, so far I have only managed to make one from brass but you make them in steel!

:ö: thanks Landy Man! , yes.. those hubs have ballraces in it!, it's the same size as the ballrace on a high-end 130 size motor cans, i found out that without the ballrace, a small motor such as the 7mm pager motor will have to work twice as hard just to turn the axles with the tires to carry the weight of the truck (complete with batteries and electronics installed) so gearing it low enough for more torque will help a lot ..... about those steel u-joint? i decided to make it from steel co'z i am not quite sure if the u-joints from brass would last , i'd rather spend hours making a steel one than fixing and replacing a broken brass joints on the truck everytime the front tire got stuck and try to pull itself out, though i haven't tried a brass joints yet, co'z i am quite happy with the steel joint performance, if you have watched the 1/87 truck video we made,in my own opinion, if i am using a brass joint i won't dare myself to run my truck on that coarse, this may damage brass joint quite easily, i've also proven the strength of the steel u-joint on my 1/32 Monster truck, (i hope you have checked that video too) though i'm using a bit thicker steel than the one used on my 1/87, but you could imagine the torture a small joint takes everytime it tries to turn a monster tire to climb a big obstacle like the thick yellow pages used on that video too which if i used a brass joint of the same size, in my opinion, i might have to fix it or replace a broken brass joint on the second or third run, but as of now all of my steel u-joints are doing a great job! and hope they'll last forever!
