Ey Ey Ey....you diss Honda, you diss the Honda Pimp and his Civic!!! Although the term Honda Pimp doesn't really apply to performance, but more towards "pimping out" the said Honda. Oh boy Math exams gettin to me again, rambling......

Yeah, watch it with the Honda bashing. When was the last time you got 100 hp/liter out of your big blocks? I've seen a CRX run a high 10 WITHOUT turbo...thats a naturally aspirated 10 second CRX ladies and gentlemen. I've also seen the Papadakis AEM Civic run sub 9s. Mind you, this is all front wheel drive with under 3 liters of displacement.

Man I can drag up all sorts of videos on the internet, like the Civic hatch beating the Viper, etc.

Anyway, S2000s run 14s stock, yes. However you can't have 17 year old kids selling weed to 9th graders to buy an S2000 driving, because they aren't what you call "skilled" like people who test drive them are. And 225 hp for a 4 cylinder non turbo is pretty impressive. Cut out a couple hundred pounds, put slicks on back, sport flywheel and clutch, and after about $2000 you'll be in the 13s. Another $3500 for a good turbo setup and you're in the 12s, possibly 11s.

This could turn into a neverending battle between imports and domestics. So, having said my piece, I will return to my affairs. Lets just say the two types of tuning are completely different and cannot be compared to each other.

Calm down! Jesus, it was just my opinion. Im entitled to it as you are entitled to yours. I should elaborate on my views of the import scene. It is not the cars that i so not like, its the way that they are modafied with those god-aweful 2ft tall wings, bright green paint jobs and neon lights on evry part of the friggin car. The worst part about the whole damn thing is this all came from the movie The Fast and The Furious. The movie pretty much sucked. To any one who knows any thing about cars the movie was pretty much Bull Poopie, and if I hear one more merson say NOS instead of N-O-S I will scream Its a friggin acromym For a name brand system "Nitrous Oxide Systems". Now that i have that off my chest I believe the automotive hobby is a great one and you can modify your car how ever you please, just please do it taistfully other people have to look at it too.
Thank you and God Bless,

Josh

P.S. Lets not get into an argument anout this, there are already about 100 threads in this forum that contain that sort of thing.

P.S.S The white mustang at the top of the page is the notchback that I was refering to.

the problem with the S200 isn't bhp it's torque.

"you check car and diver for the specs"

I subscribe to both Car and Driver and Road&Track. You mustrealize that these magazines make mistakes. In this months R&T a reader pointed out a problem with their corvette 1/4 mile time. Problems are fairly common in car mags.

You are completely right! There's nothing I hate more than crappy tuning, and neon! And I hate shopping cart handle spoilers! It takes taste to tune. Sorry to get so defensive, I just really love the true import scene, and know that pretty soon technology will increase 4 cyl. performance to be a real contender against cc's. Thanx for listening!

The problem with magazines is the numbers they give for these cars come from professional drivers on ideal days with near perfect conditions, these drivers are not concerned about breaking the cars either. so yes the s2000 may run 14s in car and driver but like i said i have yet to see it.
