Field Effect Transistor - lots of electronics use this type of transistor, and no, it's not an "American thing."

How did you find out where the resistors were in the circuit board?

Actually dont answer that, i found out myself. I have managed to put together a 'max toque mod' for a bit char-g. Your board may be differently set up because i am using a Panther as the model. Anyway the resistor is simply inline between a pin on a black rectangle thing and the motor. You quite simply put a resistor of the same value of the resistor marked X on top of the other resistor so the current has two resistors to go through, therefore halving the resistance of the resistor marked X. You should now have a sandwhich of two surface mount resistors, You can still get the PCB case back on though because they are so small. It now wheel spins when ever i go forward and slam it into reverse, when i didnt have this mod it used to slow down rather than wheel spining and then go in reverse.

yeah, it is quite a good improvement, it can wheelspin now, it used to slow down with out skiding now it wheel spins, great for drifting.

QUESTION!!! Does this increase speed or JUST torque? And I was wondering, instead of doing this, could you just solder some wires???? Get a closeup of the pic of the mosfet-modded car at RCmod. (Hey, THAT site didn't get filtered LOL) you will see some blue wires and where should I solder on the ZZ????
