I bought a 27 mhz lancer and the rear just skips and studdards around. There is soo much wheel hop it is hard to control. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on a fix?

I'm hopin a good set of slot car tires will solve these issues. I think most of them are a matter of traction. I'm getting the same results including a lot of spinning and fishtailing. I'm testing on lenoleum, so that could be why I get a lot of spinning. New tires should do the trick, but weight may need to be added to the back as well. I hope not. I have an old Tyco 440 frame lyin around here with good sticky tires on it, but these suckers are too wide. Especially the front ones. I'm gonna have to go find a TJet or something and leave it up on blocks when the owner ain't lookin. I may try the Tyco tires anyways since I already have them.

Please lemme know if you find a way to reduce the wheel hop. I really like this little car. I don't have alotta of RC stuff, so if you find something that works that I can buy PLEEEAASE tell me. Thanks.

nope mine didnt have them either... but i saw a sticker labeling the empty shelf above it that said "ir remote racer" these were in the hotwheels section away form the rc cars, inculding the other motorworks.
if they are too wide why not just cut them in half?
Well, the tires are on a solar powered slot car I made a couple years back. I just hate to destroy it, even though I don't have a track or anywhere else to play with the slot car. Still, I eyeball it all the time for them tires and rims.

Thanks for the PICs! I've been reluctant to tear into my one and only car. These things really are well made. I hope they expand the product line in the future.

No, there are 2 batteries, 4 gears + 1 gear on the axel + 1 pinion gear. In all, 6 gears!!! The turning system is actully very nice. I just added some bigger tires to mine, these things are so FAST!!!. Pics to come soon...
