I put myself on a reservation list to get the pair myself.

They're charging the MSRP and the shipping is 2760yen. They expect to have them in-stock on Sept. 20th and the Air shipping will take 1-2weeks to get.

Hey Swiss, what are the shoulder buttons on the controller for?

Can you control the turret by any chance?

It looks like the receiver for HITS is beside the barrel...I wonder if the tanks have to be facing each other to register a HIT. That would suck...no ambushing.

- No, you can't control the Turrets.
- No, the Laser is beside the barrel (what shoots). The 'receiver' is the clear dome on the top
- No, you don't have to be facing each other. The target can be facing any direction for you to shoot them

Namuna, if the receiver is the clear dome on top, how does it register the hits with the cap closed then? I know that clear dome is used to set id, for which the cap has to be open. I didn't find any information anywhere that the same dome is used to register hits.

xsracer,

The cap is used for when you're SHOWING the tank only. If the cap is on, the Tank does not and can not register commands/hits.

Maybe it'll help if I say...I'm ABSOLUTELY SURE that the clear dome is the receiver.

I've seen the pictures on Konami's site and you're, of course, correct - clear dome is the receiver. However, the tank does move and does register hits with the cap on. I suppose IR signal goes through somehow, which originally led me to believe that that dome wasn't a receiver. I guess the sensitivity is not as good with the cap on.

they are awesome.

now if only they worked in micro rs4's.

anyways, they are very worth the $$. i already bought decals of how many tanks i take down. it's gonna look like a football helmet!!! (yes, the real panzers kept track of their kills with white bands on the barrell of the gun. i will be doing this too)

the panzer rules. a little slower, but can take 5 hits vs the russian wimpy 4 hit tank.

get them!!!!! we got 2 so far and 6 more are on their way!! b
