no you didnt... but jedclampit did. he said all he had was a very powerful reverse after doing the mod.

anyway would reversing the wires on the motor reverse the direction on it or would it just not work? i cant play with mine for a few days.. so i cant test to figure it out for myself.. i would think that it would..

Yea, it would go backward... I'm just hoping that when I hardwired my motor, it didn't go on backwards...

Why can't you play with your cars? Not at home or somethin?

hey thanks for replying Spanky!

Ya my problem is that once I swapped in all the fets for the normal transducers or whatever they are, only one drive circuit works, so yes I could just swap the F and R wires, to go Forward, then I'll have no R, OK for drag racing if I don't wipe out, but sucks for putting around.

I screwed up somehow and I think its probably too much heat to one of the mosfets I swapped in whilst soldering. I don't know which one ain't working and I don't know how to diagnose it. I do have a multimeter so I'll have to figure it out with a little help.

I need to know what all the transducers (Black square things) I replaced do, and what circuit they service eh? Anyone know, Bueller....Bueller...?

Peace out

WRX,

you'll also need a very fine soldering iron tip, good forceps or tweezer and perhaps a magnifying glass to see if connections are good. Also beware that you can't hold heat on the contacts of those little buggers very long, that may be why I wasn't totally successful.

you may already have experience with this stuff, I didn't

Thanks for the info jedclampit. I'm thinking I'll have my brother do it for me if I can't. He's a computer engineer, so he might be able to. Also, do you know where I can get that fine of a tip? I doubt radio shack would have it...

about soldering tips, I don't know, I have the common type (25 watt) and i just stuffed the smallest tip I could find into it. Think I did get it from Radio Shock.

there must be another online shop that would have a fine soldering pencil though, mine was still too big for the job and I think I overcooked a few of those little suckers.

cool to finally see someone else finally interested in doing this. It can get confusing if you don't have the exact same pcb layout as those German's have in the picture but I'm sure you and your bro can figure it out. I did the dual cell mosfet and was stoked to see how many more amps got through, just never really persevered, only got one direction to work and i need both directions for the way I drive.

the other thing I concluded about the dual cell is--who needs more power? just adding the second battery gave me all the pow pow I could handle. Are you doing the single cell mosfet mod or the dual cell? Interested to find out how your project goes, let me know!

I'm doing single cell. I have a car that I hacked a lot of plastic off of so it's really light and I want to see how fast I can make a single cell go.
