Yea, the 2.6 is terrible. I use the ZZ Turbo also, and it is soooo much better. I've heard that Tomy motors in general lack torque. I think I'm gonna get one of the Tiny-R motors when someone gives some feedback on them.

I hear the 3.5 BITMOD1 motors are pretty good nice top speed with good torque.

well you can make up for the loss of torque during take off by switching the gear ratios.

by using a 12:1 gear ratio, you can get a better take off with a 2.6 or 3.0.

and just because the 3.0 has a better top end, it doesn't always mean it'll be the fastest. it all depends on the course your driving on. if its a short track course, then a 2.2 or 1.6 with a 12:1 ratio would be best. but if its all out drag racing, then a 2.6 or 3.0 or 3.8 with a 8.25:1 ratio would suit it better. again the choice of 2.6, 3.0, or 3.8 would depend on the length of the track.
