I guess so. I checked out the "Super" Target over by me and they don't carry them either. Kind of dissappointing

Funny thing, I visited my local Target to pick up one up, they had none. No microsizers either. However, last week, the shelves were stocked with tons of K.I.T. racers.

I found some K.I.T. racing sets at Target also for 3.98 and there were more then 50. I am going to wait another week or so and they will be half of that price! What I am really looking for is the Upgrade kit that they offer. (If you have a K.I.T racing set you will see it listed in the instructions) It comes with a 3.0 motor and good tires. Has anyone seen the upgrade kits?? Where can I get one?? thanks...

to answer the 3:43 axle question, i scored the area to pry off with a knife, then used kitchen scissors to snip off the extra plastic right off, then filed the remaining plastic on the axle down to match the char-g axle. no probs doing this since the axle is metal and the nubis plastic. again, in the air the axle moves like a bat out of hell and sounds like one too, but on the ground the torque and initial accel is AWFUL. would take forever to get to top speed. i prefer the teal gear for overall awesomeness, even am using it with the kitracer's 2.6 since it doesnt stutter like the 3.0, and is much faster than the stock 2.2 that came with the Mach. all in all a worthwhile investment - and yeah the rear hard white tires look studly too lol. i even made the roller guides a wheelie bar on the mach, it fits nicely under my chassis between my mufflers.

They are not remote controlled. They are designed to run free in a guided track. I really didn't pay much attention to the different models, I just looked at the motor's endbell cover and bought the orange ones. (2.6) They have different bodies/gearing/tire combinations. So if you choose carefully, you can score some spare tires as well. I have some of the white rubber tires, but they don't seem to grip well on a smooth surface.

1.98 for the kit racers??? which ones are they?

the RPM, MPH/KPH, Slalom, or Energy?

i cant get any more out here, and thats a great price for a motor and tires.... espically if you get the one with the 3.0 which i believe is the MPH/KPH. you should be able to tell by looking to see if the motor is red or not... would you buy me some?

I guess I better check Target again on Monday. A week ago they were still 5.58. (or 5.88, I forget)
The racetrack w/1 car was 11.98.

Too late.
All of the KIT racers and KIT racing tracks are GONE from my local Target store. (Princeton, NJ)
I was holding out for the $1.98 price, but I guess they packed 'em all up and sent them back or something. Toys R Us has them, but they are selling for 10.99. Should have bought a few more for 6 bucks.....

if you really want one try K-B toys they are $5.99 out here in Southern California. Target had them for $3.98 last Friday so I bought 2, but I won't open if I can get them at the magical $1.98 price. But for the parts, $2-$8 isn't too bad plus no shipping/handling costs which are rip-offs sometimes.

keep checking Target. I went a week ago and they were gone. But then I just went back this week and the kit racers are back again but still priced at 3.98. I know that Target does some moving around and changes things sometimes so just keep checking. My Target still has like 40 of them and I am going to wait it out and see. You can ask someone who works there if they will go down anymore. (some are stupid and won't know) later
