I sure fix for the steering problem. It seem the steering rotor/motor is so powerful that it turn the ring magnet 1 to 2 mm each turn so it get out place fast.then you don't have the have correct polarity so what I did is put a dab of CA glue aka:super glue on the front of the round magnet on each side of the chassis. So now the magnet does not turn and i have great steering. One thing I have noticed that you get a power loss when making a series of tight turns.I am thinking of finding a AAA battery case that hold 3 batterys that would fit in the exsisting battery cavity. Then you could get 3.6 volts with nicad or nimh batterys or 4.5 volts with alkalines. But first I am going to pick up some Monster Batterys at circuit city their AA alkaline battery has 2880 mah.The Extra life cooper tops are only 1500 mah

I put the drips of super glue were the red arrows are pointing at to lock the ring magnet in place.Be sure you have the slot on the bottom of the ring magnet in place over the centering adjustment peg.My adjustment peg broke one of the tabs that holds the peg in place so I had to glue that in place also. The blue arrow is pointing to the wires so make sure they are together in the slot on top of the rotor. Then you will get great steering out of the car. They sure use brittle cheap plastic on the after market product. But hell there fun to cheap fun to play with
