A 3.0 is a great all around motor.. If your going ot be using your z-car on a track, unless it is a huge one with lots of straight aways the 3.8 is going to be overkill IMO. But if your ripping around your hard wood living room floor the 3.8 is great!

does size matter?

I purchased a couple of those Hot Wheel's KIT racers which comes with the 2.6 motor. I noticed that the motor is a tad smaller than the 2.2 z-cars motor. I can't seem to get it to work in my z-car. What am I doing wrong? (I tried the foil thing, I got it to work once). The kit motor works perfectly in my char-g.

And how does the 3.8 motor compare size-wise to the other motors? Same size as a bit, as a z-car, as a zipzap?
