I was driving my bit char g alongside a bullet oem, n my 1 worked fine(tomy) but the oem did sometimes ignore controls, and when my tomy was right next to the oem, the oem moved opposite direction to ine (ie i was controlling it).

But the oem controls did not affect my tomy.

The oem was 49hz and my tomy 49Hz.

I know they're a similar frequency. But I believe the reason the oems have better ranges than the Tomy is because the Cars do not filter out weak signals, whereas the Tomy most likely does.

So the Tomy transmitter output mayb restricted (other than the cripple), and the car ignores signals under a certain strength (even w cripple removed).

So Tomy's could have better ranges, but b more susceptible to interference!!!!

I think Tomy has done it purposely! After all, I m putting 2 ni-mhs in mine soon so it'll go super fast----BUT

These are designed to race on desktops, super fast cars nedd a long range, but then super fast cars fall off desktops, so I spose Tomy thought that a long range wouldn't b necessary!!!!

Ne way, im double ni-mh ing in, n we'll find a way 2 sort the range !!!!!

Small light and incredibly fast, this is gonna be a wooden floor racer!!!!!

(eventually)!!!!

I ordered 4 ni-hms today, 1.85 each!!!! 100mah

And i've made my own charging tabs for the car using solder melted inside bluetack for a guide, then removed the tak!!!!
