speed needed
Re: the question above as to why only 1.6 motors or higher can play -- if you allow the use of 1.0 motors for carbowling, it is simply too easy. Steering is usually good enough and slow enough at that speed so that when coming down the lane you have a pretty darn good shot at steering right into the head pin. We decided to make the game more challenging, you need to use at least a 1.6 motor, so that steering in that short a space and that narrow a lane is difficult.

My carbowling lane is done and is complete with 2 1/2" pins made from scrap pine that I had. I will try to post some pics later. I am also making a carball / multigame table. I think that I will have it finished sometime tomorrow depending on the time I have to work on it. I wish some more people would put up some ideas for games to play with their cars. Thanks Rex Racer for the ideas.

Game board pics
This is my first attempt at posting pics. Here is the carbowling lane that I made. I kept Rex Racer's standards of 7" x 4'. I am almost finished with the other gameboard also. It is made to play carball / soccer and other competition games. I hope you enjoy.

Carball / Soccer Table
It's almost finished. I hope you enjoy. How do I make my pictures smaller for the forum?

You need to resize your pics beforehand, in a program like Photoshop or somethin. As for the game boards, nicely done!

Thanks Pojo57 for the info. I loaded a picture into Photo deluxe and shrunk it right down. I will be sure to do that next time. What size would be best for a post? Thanks for the heads up.

Here is how I made the pins. A dremel tool and sanding disk is all you need (then a little paint). They are 2.5 inches tall.

Here are the pins when finished. Hey, I wonder if you could make a replacement body with a piece of wood and a dremel too? Maybe a Flintstone car. It might be worth a try.
